TITLE
Interactive Designer
SUMMARY
Baltimore agency with big name clients and a commitment to doing great work is looking for a talented designer to join our growing Interactive department. The ideal candidate will be a strong designer, creative thinker, and know how to make ideas come alive in Flash (ActionScripting experience is always welcome but not required - we have that covered). They will work closely with our account team, senior design team and development team in the concepting, design and production of cutting edge Interactive presentations, advertisements, and websites. This position will be a short-term contract with the goal of finding a full time candidate.
We are looking for someone with:
- The ability to think conceptually - and to communicate these ideas with the entire project team.
- A desire to work in a collaborative environment - media, creative and technology are all converging, we need someone who can work with all of the different groups that contribute to an interactive project.
- A fantastic portfolio that shows both a great design eye and an attention to the details (little things like the kerning of a headline, the cropping of a photo and the tweening of a flash animation.)
- Agency experience (or a portfolio with established brands)
- The ability to switch from production-intensive assignments that require a tremendous attention to detail and understanding of compression technology, to brainstorming sessions that require the ability to visualize and articulate a big idea for our clients
- A design degree or equivalent experience that shows your commitment to great design.
Required skills include:
- You know Photoshop, Illustrator and Flash inside out.
- Strong Flash animation skills, with a working knowledge of basic actionscripting.
- HTML, CSS and web development skills, with a knowledge of how to design for the web, and the ability to communicate functionality and usability to our development team.
- Dreamweaver knowledge a plus.
